this all comes to about 1000 dollars including a free printer, is this a good deal and i havent had much experience with amd processors. How is the one i got and is it like the pentium m, is it mobile or not? and if it isnt will i get mobile interent with the wlan i have selected. is the sempron any good for multitasking?

thanks for the help

no its not really that good for the price. the sempron is amd's value processor. if you want amd's mobile processor you'll have to find a turion.

o ok thanks and is an amd athlon 64 any good in laptops?

they are great in laptops but they kill the battery life i would get the mobile amd altlon 64 or the amd turion

amd turion and pentium M's would be suit a laptop. for general usage, the amd turion actually consumes less power than the pentium M and both processors are great

does the turion compare to the pentium m in any way? does the turion get mobile interent like hte pentium m or do u have to get the turion mobile? which do u prefer?

its pretty good, my amd sempron 2800+ runs games very well, only down side to that laptop is the video.

well i still need to know how the turion compares to the pentium m. and i have heard that the sempron is the celerons rival, and i didnt know the celeron could play games

ok ive learned that the turion is mobile, but how does it compare to the pentium m when it comes to multi-tasking. And as i said the sempron is the comparison to the celeron so wat is intels rival to the turion, the pentium m?

Yes turion is comparable to pentium m. I believe that they have small differences. I think that if you are doing multi-tasking u want intel. yea thats wat i thought but the intel is more expensive. Paired with 512mb of ram will the the turion be ok with multitasking? and hcky or watever i notice u have a pentium m with 512mb of ram, how do u like it?

i forgot where i saw it but the turion and the pentium M were basically tied in benchmarks. pentium M gets better battery life under intense usage but turion gets better battery life under normal conditions. both will do fairly well in multitasking. an overclocked pentium M 770 can benchmark higher than the fx-53 and most intel processors.

i have come to this deal, is it worth it? i decided to go with turion after reading countless articles about the two of them

the sempron is the equivalent to the celeron ie pretty terrible unless you dont have very much money. multitasking will not be as good but if you have enough ram you should be ok. but if you want a good deal, i reccomend going to digitalstar.com :o

i know the sempron is bad.thanks, i have come to the turion if u can see above, and by the way digitalstar.com doesnt work

the sempron is not bad! its much better then a celeron, a celeron cant do crap. With my sempron i can play games at max settings, needed low settings for celeron, even better then my P4 3Ghz at gaming! And its not bad at normal stuff either, the celeron just sucks!

can u find me an article where they say the sempron plays games better than a p4 3.0ghz. i highly doubt that ur p4 cant play games as well as ur sempron. I have read that the turion is better than the pentium m but is less money. And can someone tell me if the deal i posted recently, wit the turion, is any good for hte money?

i have built several value computers with a sempron and they are fast for their price.

why would ther be an article for it? the fact is, i had the same hardware (except cpu and motherboard) in both comps. The intel i got a 3dmark03 score of around 3500, with the sempron i got around 4000. and with halo on the intel, i couldnt play halo at 1280x1024, and now i can with 30fps (which is what its set to). Same with HL2, couldnt play it on 1280x1024, and needed some settings on medium. I have the same hardware, both had 2x512MB DDR400, 200GB sata, and 9600xt. But as i said before, the intel was much better at dvd encoding then the sempron is.
