The most resource intrusive game ever made?

What game that is currently on the market do you believe is to be the most resource (RAM, clock cycles, GPU utilization, exc.) intrusive game ever made?

Nah, It isn't Bioshock, it's fine to run! They've done really well optimizing it and have spent time making sure that pretty much all of the gaming comunity are able to play it!

I think they should do it with every game, but game developers are too busy trying to release them when they've said they will

For a game that is out at this very moment I'm also going to go with FSX. I also heard that in the heat of battle World in Conflict starts to give your computer a workout.

lost planet was pretty rough even on the 8800 series. i dont remember the exact numbers, but a 768MB GTX was only getting 15-20 fps on high settings. this was on a system with an e6600 and 2 gigs DDR2800

My money is still on Oblivion. With the settings cranked, max AA, max shadows, max grass distance, it still puts some of the best rigs to their knees.

I think its medieval total war 2 by far. Try playing with 30 thousand soldiers with everything on max, theres nothing that can handle it. Well any computers under $5,000 dollars anyways, if anything.

FSX on max settings will lag an 8800GTX and an e6750 with 4gb RAM and vista...a friend of mine tried it. i dont know if it is the MOST intensive, but it is up there

My friend has the Crysis Multiplayer Beta Demo from Filefront... He said it isn't that hard, He has an E6600 @ 3.0Ghz, 2GB RAM @ 900Mhz and an 8800 320MB, he's playing in Vista 64bit. He says he gets a good FPS with it maxed out, but there's still bugs in it, apparently the card are slightly invisable when up close and the explosions don't look right, Oh and it sometimes drops to 6 FPS. So I don't think Crysis is that bad :D

I'd have to agree, when the settings are all the way up, Oblivion can tear any system to shreds and spit it back out...

I got accepted into the Crysis MP beta today and run it on a 1280 x 1024 rez at medium graphics setting, I get 20-40 FPS, it's great. I do have to disagree about the particle explosions however, the first time I saw them in game my mouth dropped.. Best. Explosions. Ever. :D

Esit: I've been playing with the setting, and I can turn some to high! And it's still plays fine! I've currently got water, game effects, and 1 or two other on high and still average from the high teens all the way up to 60 in a confined space! woohoo.

Bah. My mid range (as of last year) 7600gt and x2 3800 Oc'ed to 2.7-2.8 plays it absolutely maxed at a 1280 x 1024 res. I also have 40+ mods applied, Like better LOD, and stuff that generally make the game look better and it still runs acceptably.

Yout got any screenshots to post up? :D Well, that's good news, I hope they've optimized it like they have with Bioshock and it runs perfectly!

I'll post a bunch, If I can.. Does anyone know for certain? Because I went to a forum that had some up and many of the posts told him that the BETA cannot be talked about, or shown, to anyone else on threat of a lawsuit...

Hmm.. I'm might upload some 30sec Fraps AVI's to PB and post the link here.
