What game that is currently on the market do you believe is to be the most resource (RAM, clock cycles, GPU utilization, exc.) intrusive game ever made?
My money is still on Oblivion. With the settings cranked, max AA, max shadows, max grass distance, it still puts some of the best rigs to their knees.
My friend has the Crysis Multiplayer Beta Demo from Filefront... He said it isn't that hard, He has an E6600 @ 3.0Ghz, 2GB RAM @ 900Mhz and an 8800 320MB, he's playing in Vista 64bit. He says he gets a good FPS with it maxed out, but there's still bugs in it, apparently the card are slightly invisable when up close and the explosions don't look right, Oh and it sometimes drops to 6 FPS. So I don't think Crysis is that bad![]()
I'd have to agree, when the settings are all the way up, Oblivion can tear any system to shreds and spit it back out...
I got accepted into the Crysis MP beta today and run it on a 1280 x 1024 rez at medium graphics setting, I get 20-40 FPS, it's great. I do have to disagree about the particle explosions however, the first time I saw them in game my mouth dropped.. Best. Explosions. Ever.
Esit: I've been playing with the setting, and I can turn some to high! And it's still plays fine! I've currently got water, game effects, and 1 or two other on high and still average from the high teens all the way up to 60 in a confined space! woohoo.
