I was looking at some stuff on this game and it looks pretty cool. It comes out earlier in the US, so all Yanks, tell me if it's worth buying.
 
This Yank suggests you look for the reviews when said game is released. ;) Nothings worse than blowing 50 bones on a game you thought would be cool, but then it sucks.
 
I know. I could read the reviews. But that wouldn't be very social of me. I'm trying to be part of the community, and I don't see any other threads about this game, so here it is.

According to IGN it's released 4 days earlier in Europe, than the US, on the 26. You might want to rephrase yank to the blighties. :D But seriously, I've heard of the game, of course, but I got nothing. Sounds interesting though, hope it doesn't turn out to be like 50% of all games created, bland, repetitive, or an otherwise stink.
 
There's only 6 days to go until its realeased, i'm also amazed that i haven't heard anyhting about this game until right now almost just before its about to be released.
 
Do you guys think my system will be able to handle this game comfortably; not super slow and buggy. Just thought i'd ask to make sure before i go and buy it (when its released).
 
I'm going to play it on my "getting old" 7600gt, to which the Gs is comparable. It shouldn't be laggy, provided you don't set the setting maxed, and if the game were buggy it be the codes fault, not the video cards... You could always OC it a bit, raise those frames, should you see fit. The 7600gs is merely a 7600gt with lower clocks.
 
Got the game today, I posted a screen of it in the Screenshot Contest thread. Well worth the money so far, I love it.
 
Me as well. I only have two gripes, it's not multi-threaded, and the loads times are a bitch. Everything else is great, it's starts off slow though, i didn't think I'd like till a couple hours in when everything just clicked. I love almost everything about this game!!! :D
 
The load times aren't even that long! I read reviews which complained the load times were really long, but now that I have the game they aren't that long at all.
 
For you! :P They're hellish on my system, it's like 2 minutes to load into an outside area. Much quicker inside to inside. I can literally get up, take a pee, get something to eat real quick, come back and it's not loaded.

Did you apply the 1.1 patch? it was released the day the game was to fix some late bugs and stuff. If you didn't apply it you'll start over if you want to. :( I did though, and it's just great. What settings on that beast? I put almost ever slider to high except grass on medium, depth of field OFF, because it kills cut scene FPS, 2x AA and 8x AS and I still get good, playable FPS, average 25.

Edit: ok, i checked and they're only 60 seconds long at the most. That's still unbearable when you're constantly going in and out of peoples houses and stuff. small greivance altogether.
