Time for a new PSU?

I just installed a new GPU. I went with a Radeon 6950, following advice from friends and this site. I've been running the card for around 2 weeks now without issue, but only recently have I noticed a new burning smell coming from the case.

Odd coincidence this started after I began playing BF3...?

Now, this smell occurs regardless of how hard the computer is worked. Although it does *seem* to be worse while playing BF3.

I opened the case and sniffed around and the smell does appear to be the most potent at the PSU. It is 800W. The rest of my specs are as follows, please let me know if you need any more info.

M4A77TD Pro
AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.2 Ghz
40GB SSD
8GB RAM
1x Radeon HD 4890
Win 7 64-bit

Sorry, I realized I should have posted that information afterwards.
Although at this point it's too late, the PSU died. I have not tried to power back on, crossing my fingers it didn't take the mobo with it--but I'll have a new PSU installed tomorrow so we'll see!

Make sure you get at least a 650 watt power supply made by corsair, antec, xfx, seasonic, pc power and cooling, antec. Don't buy a cheap one cause it won't push your video card.

Luckily my mobo did not eat the dust.
I went with a Corsair 700W, installed and seems to be working perfectly. Lesson learned, I am using some no-name brand, no wonder it burned out after only 1.5 years. Thanks!
