I haven't played this game in years, but the spammers are always being the buggers they are.

They really try everything, runescape only email you with your account username, and if you think you may actually have an offence, then login onto the website directly, not through their link.

So watch out.

Hey :) I used to play this game about 2 years ago, but i'm constantly getting these messages delivered to my hotmail account, and I assumed that someone must of stolen my account but I also noticed that there was no username just dear customer, etc

Does this mean that it's not Jagex ?

If it isn't from a Jagex email, ignore it. If it seems to be, log into the website to find out rather than the links.

If you haven't played it, unless someone has hacked the entire Runescape login servers and database, you aren't going to have lost it, most of the people that do get hacked have it happen through social engineering, as in telling them their account details themselves by giving fraudulent circumstances such as these emails
 
I only linked an old email to it, that way if I need the account back I just go an restore that email (it's an MSN email) then I get the restore email from JAGEX and restore my account. You may want to just make an account for Runescape accounts.

I have 4 accounts on my one email, but I think they changed it so you only get one email per account.
 
I guess technically they will never email you unless you're lucky or something and win something lol but they can email you.
 
Okay thanks :) I don't play this game any more, but I had loads of great accounts and I thought they'd been hacked when I keep getting these emails, but it always says Dear Player or Dear Customer not my username, so I think they are fake :)

I had so many accounts I don't even know what's what lol :)
