I have a toshiba satellite A200-AH7 that, died during a major update and will no longer boot up (starts to boot up and screen goes black can still acess boot options). There is nothing wrong with the hard drive as I was able to recover all of my information off it using a hard drive adapter. I tried a hard reset no luck. Years ago I wiped the computer and installed windows XP, which i ran for a year until it crashed, I then installed Vista again from a friends disc. Problem is the factory recovery information installed was deleted in the process. I have tried a friends toshiba recovery disc from an older laptop with no luck. Is there anything that I can do with this thing or am I hooped?
