greetings all,

***CORRECTION!!!...FROM EARTHLINK NOT A.O.L.!!***
....my brother in another state uses earthlink on a 1.0 ghz computer. i bought him another computer (3+ghz) and both use win xp home.

.....how can he save the e-mails on his computer and transfer them to his new computer?....since i have never used earthlink, it is my belief that it is "web-mail" and also, he does not use outlook express or outlook....if there is a program that will do this(transfer and save), please supply the name if you can......please advise and thanks!

I think you're right and it's just web-mail. They may have a sofware client that coneects to the internet and retrieves his mail. I'd advise him to install Earthlink on the new computer to ensure he doesn't have access to those email messages he needs, because I would bet it's web based email.

If it's webmail you won't need to save them. If you want to download the messages you can set up outlook or another email client and save the messages.
