Two connections - different goals

If I take a USB wireless adapter and plug it into a computer which is already connected to a network (& the internet) via a separate non-usb type adapter, how do I specify which adapter the computer uses for which traffic?

I want to use the new USB wireless adapter to access wi-fi networks (mostly for web browsing) while not compromising the sending or receiving of information over the network the other adapter is connected to.

Does that even make sense?

Any help would be super. Thanks!

i think QoS does this.
but it's implemented at the router.

if both adapters are connected to the internet, windows will chose one arbitrarily.

if you have two networks (different ip address range) then windows will find the best path- choosing the adapter that can talk to that network.
