Upgrading Laptop Hardware

Well, as far as upgrading goes it will be nearly impossible to make it "game worthy" in that respect. However, it can still be upgraded to a veryfunctional "work" computer, or jsut simply as a nice portable PC.

I'd start with adding as much RAM as it can take (512MB) PC100
Possibly a new/faster PIII, they do make 850MHz versions I believe that will work, but check the CPU socket to make sure it's the same kind.

You might try looking for a better graphics card, but the cost will be unreasonable, and availability is probably slim to none.

Do you know what socket type a PIII is? Would It have to be a Pentium III? If not the fastest Pentium III I saw was 1.3 GHz, would that be a noticable difference?

They come in different sockets I thought. Socket 370 is what I thnk it is, but you need to make sure before you spend your money. 700MHz to 1.3Ghz is a pretty big jump.
