Urgent help! RendDX9.dll Error

I just changed my monitor to ViewSonic VA1703wb 17" Widescreen and I can't play BF2 or BF2142. When I launch BF2, the screen goes black and back to desktop. But with BF2142, the screen goes blank and an error stating:

AppName: bf2142.exe
AppVer: 0.0.0.0
ModName: renddx9.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 000093c6

So, are there any fix to this? I also deleted the profile folder and BF2 makes a new one but it still doesn't launch. I reinstalled the GPU driver and also the LCD Monitor driver. Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source (and other games) work great! Just BF2 and BF2142. Please.

EDIT: The size of RendDX9.dll is 2.29MB
 
the file name implies it's a Direct X 9 issue. there was a DX9 release Feb 07. Id say run that and see if it fixes your issues.

Well I updated everything and it didn't work. RendDX9.dll is made by DICE/EA not Microsoft because it's in the game's folder. I also did a serch for "renddx9.dll" in my PC but it just came up with the file that is in the game's folder.

I really need BF2/BF2142! Please, help.
