??? Urgent problem pls help me. Thx a million!!!!!!!!!

Hello. I'm a friend of Iceman in real life. I have technicality problem on my computer. For some reason my computer keep crashing. I have tried to update all my updates to date. Then I've tried updating java, because I thought that has something to do with the game, but I found out that was not it. Then after a few hours later I've tried to reformat my computer again. That was not the problem. I've tried to click on steam and right click and it kicked me out of the server and go back to the desk top. Here is my computer specs:

AMD athlon(tm) XP 2600+
1.91 GHz, 1.50 GB of RAM
Video Card: ATi 9800 pro
Sound card: NVidia(R) nForce(tm) Audio

PS: I've never had this problem before. All my games that I own run out fine. If you would help me I would appreciate it. Thx!
 
Many times its due to overheating. CPU might be getting too hard when you have too many programs/games running. Check the thermal paste? Did you use stock everything?
 
I agree it could be the pc overheating, you should check inside the case, and clean dust from the heatsink (seeing as its a fairy old pc, I gues there is a lot in there :) )
