okay well i own a medion computer model MD 1704, and my video card is a SiS 651, and for some reason my computer spuratically crashes and restarts itself on its own up to 5 times a day, when windows starts back up i get an error message and i send error report and it says theres an error with my video device driver....does anyone have any suggestions on what steps i can take to correct this problem?

Surprisingly that can be caused by the current sound drivers. At times one version of a driver set for sound will conflict with display drivers. If you are running an older system with an AGP card plus pci slot sound card and not the onboard sound the advice to move the sound card if in the first slot over to the 2nd or 3rd is usually the adivice given by a number of techs to solve a resource conflict of some type as well as XP's resource sharing problem that comes up on occasion. For crashes and unexpected system restarts with no large app or game running you may be looking at a hardware problem now being noticed. If this happens during gaming try removing the current video driver set with the manufacturer's remover and go for the latest updates. That along with updating sound drivers can often help.
