why am i getting IM's from weird screenames? crap like "Hello", and then like a smiley. anybody know? are they like bots? it's very annoying, thnks.

Where are you getting these IM's? And before you even answer its most probably a bot. :)
 
some of my friends sn's are messed up and they always im me stupid offers, very annoying

yeah a bot, but it could be a thing where random sn's get put into peoples buddy lists and they im you to find out who you are, but doesn't sound like it

To follow on with that, If your on a chat room or listed as visable, people may just be trying to make "friends".

Whenever I get a random IM it's always someone wanting to find computer parts from them.
 
Want to get rid of these? In whatever IM program you're running, get into your preferences/settings and make sure you're set up to accept messages only from those on your buddy/friends/contact list. Do that and poof: no more stupid messages from strangers. The stupid messages from friends still get through, however:D.

Check the profiles and see if it says ebaumsworld. If so, you can remove yourself by clicking the specific link. Also, I wouldn't keep my Sn listed here, even non-members can view it.
