i want to know what "good games" willl this system max out?
specs:
Processor: i7 Quad Core 2600 3.4GHz 8MB cache
Power Supply: corsair 650W bronze 30+
Graphics card: Radeon HD 6870 1GB DDR5
Ram: 4GB DDR3
Moniter: Acer 27" Full HD
HDD: Seagate 1TB
Motherboard: Intel H61 Chipset

says 27" full hd so i'm guessing 1080p

and it won't max everything, idk bout others but i know you're not maxing bf3, crysis, possibly crysis 2, bf:bc2, or any other game known for its graphics pretty much, all those take a 6950 or higher to get really high settings, and it won't even max most of those out.

A GTX 570 maybe a GTX 560 TI can max those out but a 6850 will get near max settings.
6850 is a great card, I'm still stuck on intergrated graphics :\

should game fine i have a rubbish desktop at home :

Acer Aspire T135-T88z
80gbs sata
256mb ddr ram
microsoft xp home edition
AMD sempron

i have been working on the grachics and sound :

PNY GeForce GTX 570
Bluegears b-Enspirer

it performs great on gaiming once it has started up

the games i play are Need for speed most wanted/carbon/

crash time 3/4

i like car games :)

i do think i need to update my list of favourite games.

yah i will be playing bf3, gt iv/ v, skyrim, and crysis so yeeh, and its a 6870 not 6850, the man in the pc shop said the 6870 is alot better than the 6850, and for only $10 more i got the 6870 so yeah

Depends on how picky you want to be, if you dont mind 30fps, or 40 fps you should max out most, if you want full 60fps probably not a lot.

nope he is running 1080p, and how do u activate AA/AF ? and what exactly is it?

Activated through the game settings, Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering.

The former will process frames more than ones to reduce jagged edges, providing smoother, more realistic images, the latter will make images that are further away when viewed at an angle look clearer

so turning it off will make it smoother and more frames per second?

so turning it off will make it smoother and more frames per second?

Turning it off will make the graphics look worse but improve FPS. Dependant on the game, the extent to how the graphics will change will differ, for instance on Arma 2, AA will make little difference, whereas a lot of other games, it will be the difference between block vehicles, faces, weapons etc and smooth, realistic.

Disabling will reduce the amount of processing required, which will obviously increase FPS

It's a lot of fun when you have a friend to play co op with. You can even do 4 way co op on the campaign missions. If you're thinking about the DLC, British Armed Forces is my favourite one so far :D
