Right now im running at 1280x800, since im on a laptop (15.4" Widescreen). But i voted 1280x1024 since thats what i use when im on my desktop (19" LCD).

1024*768
i have samsung SyncMaster 793s 17"
i cant stand lower refresh rate
that's why i'm stuck with 1024*768 my eyes kinda used to 85 Hz

read the poll tweaker, it says the PC you are using RIGHT NOW...

Multi-monitor setup, maybe?

I use 1024x768 cause my monitor can't handle higher resolutions with a refresh rate over 60Hz. I'm used to 85Hz, just like shadyi.

1600X1200 on a dell FP2005 20" bargain for £120 :P (sshhhh cant tell you where from)

used to have a 15" monitor that ran at 1024 dont think i could possibly go back now, everything just looks so much better on this!

There are going to be some people that start bashing you since 1280x1024 on a CRT isnt the correct aspect ratio ;)
i wouldnt say it matters at all, i use 1280x1024 and everything looks fine, nothing is out of proportion or stretched. Anyone wanna bash me, bring it on, ill fight to the death.

thats a pretty sweet deal for a 20" :D I remember getting my 19" for about 400 euro.

its all legit to be fair, a friend works for a company that had bought a shed load of dell computers with 20" monitors, eventually they began being used more to run tasks and the monitors were not needed. So the staff were allowed to buy them in a secret auction, He won and sold them on for a bargain price.

On the plus side i get a years guarentee too, company kept a few and he will swop it if i have a problem :D

seems 1280x1024 is winning here, in my opinion its the best one without having to pay a lot more to get up to 1600x1200 (My monitor caps off at 1280)

my 17" CRT does 1920x1000:D but then everything is stretched... but i can have it 1600x1024 if i make the display look widescreen:)

Actually, it's high because people with 17"-19" LCD's all run it at 1280x1024, i dont think its because of the people with 17" CRT's that run it at 1280x1024.

Hey where´s 1280x960? I am only using 1280x960 cause everything belowe that is too big and everything upon that is too small :D

Why does LCD and CRT make any difference at all..... they are the same size..... a 12" CRT is he same size as a 17" LCD, 12inches doesnt magically become bigger on an LCD.

Because a 17-19" LCD has a native resolution of 1280x1024, so thats what almost everyone runs it at. Alot of people with 17" CRT's run at a mix of 1280x1024 and 1024x768.
