what should i purchase first?

ok so im getting a new computer for my room i have 200 saved up know see im only 16 im trying to get a job but right now im just trying to get everything straightend out for my pad, its going to be awesome, i have a minifridge 12 speaker setup on a 1000 wat recever, and now i want a new setup, so heres were im going with this

im getting both but i dont know in what order, i want to build my own pc to have all the customized effects or whatnot and i know i can get a better deal if i build it, but, ok

on to the question

should i purchis my laptop first or my desktop

the laptop is

its 399.00 $ and im putting 4 gigs of ram into it which will be about 50 more dollor

or i can make my desktop with

im going to get both just which one would you get first?
 
4gb's of memory in that laptop would be mostly overkill.

I'd get the desktop first personally.
 
Yes 4gb is an over kill and I would use that $50 dollars to add to the desktop but can't give any suggestions as we cant see your wish list. If there is going to be a couple of months or more between your purchase then I would get the Laptop as you must be needed it to take with you which is why your buying a laptop. also you should base you decision on if one of the two is a better deal at the time and leave the other to keep looking for a better deal. thats just how I would look at it!
