Which CPU should I get?

Im going with AMD this time.

Should I get an awesome named BLACK EDITION Athlon 64 X2 5400+ @ 2.8 GHz

AMD has the best motherboards hands down. i really hate intels fsb and how their motherboards become out-dated so quickly. i bought mine and there are already newer better processors that my computer doesn't support even though it said "will support quad core... etc.." and now there are processors that mine doesnt support v_v ...sure it supports quad core, but not the better quad cores. i mean who else is going to buy a quad-core except an enthusiast.. that wants the best parts possible lol..

all of the black edition processors have the mulitplier unlocked unlike the normal versions

wow that looks like it would be close to the intel chips if it was 45nm and had more cache. But amd is caching up as far as thermal power rating goes.

That's not the only difference, the Black Edition has an unlocked multiplier so it's easier to overclock, it also has more potential I'd say.

Black editiong if you're going to go overclock, regular retail if you don't care and just want to HS and fan =P

You've chosen AMD not intel basicly mean to me you will not overclock, and thus those 2 have no different to you, go for the normal cheaper one.

Personally, I would get Intel E7200 because it doesn't cost much more than 5400+
