Just got back from the shop, they had to switch out my MoBo (huge + long issues). Didnt tell me much on the new mobo, so i looked it up when I got home. Is it gonna be as good as the previous mobo, or slower ?

The previous mobo was a AsusM2N-E Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP ATX AMD... (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131022)

The new mobo is a ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM Socket AM2 NVIDIA Quadro NVS 210S Micro ATX ...(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131072)

Besides the new one being $20 cheaper, is it physically slower (even slightly?) ? The system is only used for online gaming, watching movies, and internet.

The more expensive one, the AsusM2N-E Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP ATX AMD, is the better choice. More sata connections and an additional PCI slot. It supports more RAID configurations and has more USB ports. Also, better audio.

Much better and only for an additional 18.00 dollars. As a rule of thumb, unless needed, stay away from microATX board unless you are putting it in a very small case.

I didnt have too much choice in the mobo... the M2n-E was un-useable in my system. Windows was barely stable, after 2-3 months, it wouldnt even format windows any longer (would freeze at 3% install for a format).

The shop replaced the board with the M2NBP... I just dont know if it is enough of a downgrade to go back and bitch for a better part, or a partial refund on the mobo.

Will the difference in MoBo's be enough to effect FPS in a first person shooter game ?

Performance-wise, they should be exactly the same. The more expensive one just had more features, which I don't think you'll be using anyway.
