Why Are We Pimping Out Our Computers?

Why do we make our computers look all fancy? I mean, after all, it is just a computer right?

well it makes using PC a lot fun i think, if you spend a lot of time using it mite as well decorate it.

I did it because now it has flashy lights on it etc =] I like how it looks now, cheers up my room a bit

For a lot of people their computer is like the honda civic your neighbour has. You know the ones I mean, with the fat pipe sticking out the back, neons on the bottom, lowered, new front/back end, etc.

hmm... when my pc starts looking like a civic... I throw it out of the window, i can tell you that

I disagree with that thb.. I like messing around with my pc, and i merely made the pc look as it is now because i like it.

( even worse... the Lan i was on 2 weeks ago.. some guy's looked at my pc and said it looked pretty gay :x They didnt know it was mine, nor did they see me when they said it, but ah well )

well,.. they didnt know it was mine.. nor did they know i was there at all..
But yea.. my case doesnt really have a mean/cool look or so.. it just looks good.. =]

That's exactly what I was going to say. People put neon lights, etc... in their car. It's the same principal. We put a lot of money into what goes in the computer, so we want the outside to look as good as possible.

And good is a personal preference, so we aren't actually going to get anywhere with this topic
