Will AI be able to write an operating system to replace Windows?

Hi,
AI is creeping up fast, and windws is getting more aukward, in my opinion.
It would be great if AI could write a computer operatings system.
I suppose we would have to buy it?
If it was open source then it could be kept up to date.
What do you think?

AI is really good but I think it's too new to be able to write a full functioning operating system at the moment. Maybe a real beta basic OS, but to replace windows? We probably have a very long way to go.

But depends on the programmer who's promoting the AI and has some knowledge, AI could definitely benefit to help, but completely relying on AI at this early stage, I don't think it's possible at the moment
