Will my psu explode if I got with 2 6990 and fx 8150? I have 2 of these monsters but im scared to plug them into the psu in my sig.. Will it handle it?

That is the Overclocked FX. They really use the volts OCd, but clock like a SB-k.

I would say, yes your PSU will pop in a nice shower of sparks. You will need something in the 1350 to 1500 watt range to run Dual 6990 and the FX overclocked.

Yeah, that's my bad. I usually catch things like that.

That being said, I don't think I'd take the chance on running $1,400 worth of video cards using a coolermaster PS.

you could get 2 PSUs that are of lower wattage, say 850 watts and run them together. I believe is it Corsair? have a case that supports 2 PSUs. There was a guy I saw doing it with 4xGTX580s and an I7 990X. It was the only way he could run the computer, with 2 x 1.k kilowatt power supplies.

586 watts for a processor?.... really?

That's for an entire system with the CPU under load

-__- guys...586watts is for the whole system, not just the processor. lol:P

This

Like mx344 said, the 586W is for the whole system running a GTX 590 under load.

And this

Coolermaster mentioned that my psu can handle that setup easily. being the overkill enthusiast i am, im just gonna go buy a silverstone 1500w psu

wait.. nvm on that one that psu will destroy my wallet..

what do u guys think about this one?
