short version: lost power due to t-storm; ups kept server up for 5 minutes, as is configured. server crashed instead of shutting down gracefully.
ups is a cyberpower 850 avr (510W)
file server specs in sig. load on ups is 20%, 45 min est runtime on battery.
my guess is it's not configured correctly with windows server os.
you know when you shut down or restart a server os it asks you why you are doing so?
i don't think the ups application, powerpanel personal, can handle this although it is supported.
anybody know how to trick it? or why my server crashed? don't see anything in event viewer, except the typical, last shutdown was unexpected...
