windows reinstall problem

hey guys i was reinstalling windows98 on my dell when i got to C:\WIN98> i thought i could type setup and that would take me into windows installation process but for some reason when i type setup i get bad command or file name, anybody know what's goin on? thanks

Uh ... youll have to run setup from the Windows98 CD rather than some arbitrary folder Win98 ... not if you've copied the files to the HDD than look around in one of the folders for the setup (i cant remember what the folder was called but it's in there)

Well buddy u can install win 98 from the win98 cd.
and by default install in c:\windows folder.
U need config.sys and autoexec.bat files for ur 98 setup.

W98 SE was a bootable one. dos installation is possible but not needet. just boot from your cd drive
