Windows Update Size Question.

Hello all.. i reformatted my whole computer and started from fresh.. I am now installing windows updates, When i started in my computer my hard disk space was on 141 GB... After installing the first lot of updates which are listed right below, It jumped down to 137, Surely they don't take a 4 GB!! Away for the following updates and SP2 hasn't even installed yet.

they most definetly can take up that much space....and not to knock oscaryu1 for his suggestion but IMO!!!!! <- you should not disable updates...they are sent out to help (or at least try to) keep your PC as safe as possible with the exception of antivirus software

from my own personal experience a lot of the ppl whose PC's i've fixed never update and (i dunno about ur habits on the PC) go dilly dallying around on the internet and get infested with spyware and wut not

Well I use the same ol' computer as 3 years ago when I had dial up... and you probably dont know how long it took just to download a few 10MB files for update... it was horrible. Good this DSL is with me now... but I still diabled it. I will enable it today =) (oh yes, when I install t he updates it reallyslowed my cmoputer down)
