Does Vista still have the classic Windows option? Or are you now stuck with the XP type of style in the new version?

The classic theme is still available.

EDIT: I must say they have improved it a lot, its much less buggy and they included some new features. The one I like most is the snipping tool, which allows you to select any area on your screen for a instant screenshot, without having to go to paint. :)

Cool, it's about time Windows had this, Mac OS X has had it since version 10.1 (don't know if OS9 has it)

That's a relief anyways! :) I was trying out GPart last night to create a vfat primary for a Linux distro on the second drive. How is the installer on it? I imagine it will create or delete and then create a new partition for Windows to go onto. Does it still show the total drive space for manual adjusting the primary partition if you plan to split the drive? XP has it.

Ya, you can still manually adjust partition settings before installing vista on your HD.

That's what I thought. XP was the first to see that rather then needing a partitioning tool. Did you have to be a paid subscriber or can you download the beta version free at this time? Before I decide on which Linux distro to go with I could slap it on the extra space to get it a run.

The ISO is too large for a CD, and it was created for use by CD's.

Im not sure if they will ship CD versions, but most likely it will just be in DVD format.

Stinks for me then. I have a dvd "player" not "burner"

Last customer review program? I trust you registar and login on a new account there. As far as a dvd burner there's no problem here since I periodically already burn data dvds.

Grrr

Man i downloaded it from windows and it didnt work. I have tried to install it clean install and do an upgrade you guys got any suggestions?

How do I get a key?

You are not the only one there. When downloading with explorer only it would have taken some 14hrs. on dsl. When choosing the downloader they have there it was fully downloaded to the drive in less then 90min.! The iso now sits on a dvd-r waiting to locate a number if it isn't the checksum numbers seen there at the download page.
