Hi

Can someone please help me

I am trying to reload my Lenovo Laptop with Windows XP

No I have not got the Lenovo Win XP disc

I am trying to use a Dell Win XP and a Toshiba Win Xp disc to load my laptop

Yes it loads off the Dell or the Toshiba Disc that part is OK

It's when it asks for the Product code I can't get my head round

I enter the Dell Pro code and the Toshiba code It will not except it

So please can someone tell me how I can get round this

Is their something in regedit that I can get to or is their another way I can stop it

This is driving me nuts at the moment

So please can someone help me out

Regards

Yep, either ask IBM for the recovery cd's, or buy a copy of xp if you can find one. What you are trying to do can't be done. The license key that you need to use should be on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop. You can't use keys interchangeably like that.

Johnb35 is right.
You cannot use disks from other laptops on that laptop. The license key is not the same and it will simply NOT work. You either need to get the license key for that laptop or buy recovery disk(s) for that laptop.

Of course there are ways to get XP on that laptop without buying anything, but I cannot tell you that since it is against the rules...on your unfortunate luck:D
