i am wanting to get on my friends wireless network. he has left town for a about a week and with his permission i am able to get on it. but he put password on the router and cant rember it.is their any way i can get to it.the door is locked so i cant get in to it.i also want to access his network storage so is there any way to get the default gateway password.he never uses his passwords and cant rermber them.the deafult gateway password will allow me to access his network throu the router.
 
lol. short answer to your question: no. the only way to reset the password on the router is to get to it, there is no way to do it over a wireless connection.

1. If he never uses the passwords there never would be one
2. Do you think he'll leave his door open for an week?
 
he has had his router for a long time now and set the password up and just never referd back to them.he dident know i was getting a laptop till he left.is there no way to get it.
 
unless you know the router ip address you can type it in the address bar and log into the router but you need to know the username and password and then if you do that you can change all the configurations of the router
