World of Warcraft on Dialup

Is World of Warcraft playable on dialup? The patches seem virtually impossible to get though. I borrowed a friends disc and installed it and it all went fine, until it wanted to download patches. Turns out I need a little over a gigabyte of patches before I can play. If I can obtain those patches manually on some broad band connection (nobody has any real luck with the whole Blizzard Downloader thing) will I get a good latency with dialup?

lol i wouldn't try wow on dialup. im pretty sure you need a fast connection to have everything running smoothly (as well as a decent video card :) )

I hate people who try to play new multiplayer games online, it makes the game bad for everyone, lol.

Older games werent as big of a deal, but newer games (especially fps), need low-pings in order for the game to be enjoyable.

it is playable on dial up.. but please dont do it.. you play pretty fast 4 hours in a row (sometimes a bit longer i gues) so the phone bill at the end of the month surely wont be funny anymore. ;)

You don't pay per hour on dialup... you pay the monthly fee and you can use it as long as you want. :/

Yeah in some countries ISp providers offer diffrent types of connection...some are dial up-Pay as you go so they only charge you for what you use.....but some are 1 monthly fee and like Jordan said you can use as long as you want:)

Jordan why dont you just broadband? Its not that expensive....I dunno where you live but over here in the uk i pay only £17.99 a month and my broadband is quite good and i play alot of online games:)
i wouldnt even try playing it on Dial up though...it would be real laggy.

I don't reccomend doing anything on dial up, let along gaming. My grandma has Dial Up and it makes me cry everytime I have to use it... lol

lol you can barly open some webpages on dialup now. Im just trying to imagine the lag you would get!

lolerskates!
