Would a hdd speed up a laptop

Hey need a little help
will a bigger hdd speed up a laptop maybe one at 7200rpm instead of a 5400rpm
and a 60g instead of a 20g

The slower the better your battery life. However, you get quite poor performace with slower drives. I, personally, would get 4200RPM drives in all my laptops just for the battery life. However, you should see quite a difference in 5200, and definetly 7200(do they make them that fast?)

thanks for your help, i order a samsung 60g hard drive for a laptop and it said on it 7200rpm and i was wondering if it was faster than the 5400rpm
anyway thanks again.

it is a huge difference if you upgraded from a 4200.
