WoW Killer?

I can tell you now that WoW will lose some fanbase to Warhammer Online. Will it be a WoW killer not hardly because it actually requires some skill to play RvR compared to WoWs PvP.

My personal favorite is the hotkey macro arguement, which for WoW is pointless.

I will NEVER EVER get into another MMO. They seriously ruin your life. RUIN IT. I was a slave to World Of Warcraft for a year and a half. No longer though, no longer.

Whoa whoa whoa dude, thats not true MMO's are not to be held resposible for irresponsible behavior.

Thats just like saying 2Pac music made you shoot your roommate.

Sigh there always has to be a scape goat noone ever wants to except the blame for their own faults!!!
 
The way WoW is set up is that you HAVE TO play for long, long periods of time to get the great gear, thus having a good character. I racked up over 80 days play time on my rogue before I totally deleted him, all because I actually wanted to be good at the game. I blame WoW for making it so damn time consuming to become even remotely good.

I will agree it requires alot of time but then you sound like you were playing back when the only way to get GM or HWL was the insane non stop gaming sessions for a full week.

For DPS classes, most PvP gear will always win over raid gear. Just a an hour or 2 a day of AV will get you the honor you need for gear. The game is set up for both casual and hardcore gamers.

Even still, if you have a team (whether it be 3v3, 2v2, or 5v5) you can still get a piece of the 5 piece arena sets with just 10 games a week (which average about 5 minutes a game...) every other tuesday.

The only reason being is that WoW is so popular because of the warcraft series.. The warhammer series arn't nearly as popular as the ones Blizz has been rolling out.

Vanguard could have been great but thats what you get when you let the people from Everquest make a game. + I hear it was like 25gb install for that game I mean what the hell takes 25gbs.


I agree I only played WoW because I loved Diablo 2 and played Warcraft 3 religiously for years other wise I would have stayed with CS1.6






Which I am now playing again...CS1.6 is the only game I never get sick of shame more and more servers are going to CSS.
 
I've been playing WOW for a little over a year and on Halloween comes Hellgate: London. I for one am going to take a break from WoW to go play it. From what I've seen in the trailers this is going to be my WoW killer. And I'm one of those have no life people. I have been on every single night I've been home for the past 4 months raiding from 7-sometimes 1 in the morning. If you haven't heard of it yet go check out Hellgate: London. To me it looks like WoW combined with diablo with a slight slap of BF2142.

I've tried moving on from WoW to other MMORPGS... GW, LoTRO, Some other kind of GW. Hell, the only thing I can stand to play outside of WoW at this point is CS:S and Diablo 2.... WoW is always gonna be tough to beat.
