X Box 360 question... again

Depending on what TV/monitor you use is what type of cable you should buy.

Norm tv - SCART/RCA
HDTV com only - 6 connector (RCA + com)
HDTV with com or VGA - VGA cable (for high end 1080p mode TVs)
PC monitor - VGA

So if I get the VGA Cables for my X Box 360 to replace the stock ones... i'll see a different in the picture quality when gaming?

Where can I get some of these cables... and not average ones. Or should I just get the ones that Microsoft recommends?
 
vga on the 360 upconverts the dvd player portion of the console as well as gives u a buttload more resolution settings you can choose from. Regular component only gives you like 480p, 720p, 10801i, while vga gives you pixel measurements.

Oh yea? Where can I get these VGA cables? They expensive?

No. It's not.

1080i is popular because 720P sets (which 99% of HDTV owners own, rather than the MUCH more expensive 1080P sets) can emulate 1080i compatability

1080P is true 1920x1080 resolution. A 720P set is 1080x720

Cable/Satellite HDTV is 1080i, due to bandwidth limitations. HD-DVD's and Bluray discs are the only thing that are currently in true 1080P.

To be honest....instead of wasing $70 on making the picture a TINY bit better

Why not get a game....or something that will actually help u instead of making the picture a little bit better

Well the Microsoft VGA Cables are $40 and Newegg has a set of third-party ones that are only $15 so it might not be a bad idea to pick up the $15 ones and check them out.

Yea that sounds like a better idea....it just seems a bit worthless to drop 70 notes on a cable that will be bunged behind your TV forever...
