Xbox 360 backwards compatible with xbox

I'm thinking of getting the new xbox to use as a media hub to access my movies and music.

How would I set it up? I also want to know if I can play all my original xbox games on the new 360. I found this list but it seems incomplete.

It's kind of a hit and miss with the original Xbox games. I have heard there are several that don't work, but in general they should.

Like others have said, it's hit or miss, but most the big hit games and games that sold pretty well work.

Any game that was made for both the 360 and the original xbox wont work. Otherwise, for the most part, i haven't personally had any issues.

What proof do you have everyone else is saying that most of the popular titles should work.

I have tony hawks project 8 and need for speed most wanted, for the orginal xbox. these games also came out on the 360. they both dont work on my 360. I'm not saying that is definitive, i've just never personally had one that worked.
