XBox 360 Elite?

Has anyone tried one of these yet? I'm looking to get it so I can get into the high definition market and for £30 more than Premium it seems to be good value. Also I hear heating problems are less common, is this true?
 
I believe so. From what I've heard M$ is using higher quality components in the elite, Making it less susceptible to many of the 360's pitfalls.

along with the extra HDD space, Hd cables, I think it's worth it for $30 more
 
I think so too but I want other people's opinions. here's a list of extras off the top of my head:

XBox Live Silver Membership (1 month free Gold)
HDMI cable (as well as the component cable)
Ethernet cable
120GB HDD (as opposed to 20GB)
HDCP free!

It's fairly good value for money, although I personally feel that both the extra 100gigs of storage and the HDMI port are somewhat unneccessary. Plus, the heating issue is merely less likely with an elite, it is not impossible for it to get the red rings.
 
I was getting an xbox just 12 hours ago. As tempting as the elite is, I could plug in my own hard drive and spray paint it black for free. Compared to paying 100$ more. HDMI is pointless in my opinion, as component can give the same quality of picture, just more cables.

I just got the premium.

Oh, and they dont tell you, but the 30 days free is only for NEW accounts >.<!
