Heres the situation. I am in the process of buying a 360. I read on gamespot that I'd be missing out if I wasn't playing on 720p or higher. My TV isn't very good, so I decided to use my monitor. I really wanna play Halo 3 co-op, but things might get cramped on my 19" monitor, so I wanted to take my other 17". I could use a vga splitter cable right? Also, there wouldnt be much of a point in using dual monitors unless I could 1. zoom in on the screen 2. span across both screens. Can I do that? Thanks for your guys help.

Well.
For the racing games, someone hooked up like 6 TV's one in front, left and right, and I think three behind.

And it was to get the full experience of racing.

If you can, get a nice TV.
Its really worth it.

Yea, I'd like to get a new TV, but I just threw down $400+ for my 360. Oh well....can't have everything right? I have one more question though, do you guys notice playing between 480p and 720p?

I can't help with 720, but I have a 1080i (39 or 42", I can't remember) and compared to my old non-HD, it's a completely different experience. If graphics are your thing, then yeah, there is a big difference, especially if you go for a nice clear HD with a good black quality (Even though on 360 I find myself boosting the brightness of games up a few notches, but it looks great) and I personally have a back projection DHI HD, and find it much clearer than most plasmas and LCDs, the tones and depths are much better from the 1080 to the 480s, and when I go back to gaming on non-HD at friend's houses and stuff, it seems so much flatter and whited out. Definitly score and HD if you can, it's a worthwile investment (even though it will probably be outdated before you know it).

There is a difference in my opinion between playing 480, 720, and 1080, but franky, if its just for Halo3, it runs natively at 460 (yes, 460) and can NOT be changed (no matter what) any higher. Bungie has acknowledged this and says, its either good lighting affects or a few extra pixels...They chose lighting. Which I find to be the right choice. Besides, Halo3 isnt exactly about stunning graphics, its more the experience of THE GREATEST GAME EVER!
