Xbox headset audio issue (LAN)

So...we have a LAN set up here on the base in Afghanistan and play Call of Duty. There is only one issue we have not been able to resolve. We try and use the headsets but nobody can talk to each other or hear each other. We have looked through all the settings, Googled it with no luck.

Is it even possible to use the headsets while playing Call of Duty on LAN?

Ya...we cannot figure it out. I am thinking the game does not even support headsets on LAN. I am new to consol gaming...don't know much about it really.

That's insane if they made that game and it does not support headsets on LAN.

Can anybody confirm for us if it works and how to do it?

I may be wrong, but I think you have to use two different profiles, and both need to be connected to xbox live in order to use headsets. When me and my brother used to play gears of war it would only let me use a headset because I was the one signed into xbox live. Then when my brother created himself a live account then it would let him use one too. Although say you and somebody else is on one 360 and two more people is on another 360 across the room. You will only be able to hear the people on the other 360 and not the person that is playing with you on your 360. If that makes any sense at all!
