xbox live?? whats going on??

can anybody give me a clue how to connect my new 360 to the net???? well online for live games dont know a lot about it but i have broadband connection but just dont know where to find the info do i just plug in and go or what HELP

I am pretty sure you can just plug it in and go. That is one of the benefits of the 360.

Basically, you take an ethernet cable and plug it into the back of the 360 and then plug it into the wall or a router or whatever your using.

the easiest way is:

You need a router, not a modem. then you just connect your xbox to the router.

Go to your xbox then in the system tools tab bit, click connections and then it should test it out to see if it works.

Of course you also need a subscription to Xbox Live before it will connect.

Can go to your local electronics store and buy a 12 month subscription card with a code on it and activate it and from there you can use your credit card to keep re-newing as long as youd like.
