Zalman 9700's

They both have led lights. The main difference besides the transparent metalic color on the one at the first link and the copper color seen on the one at the second is the color of the led on the fan for each. The first has a green led while the second is blue. Read over the specifications tab and look under "LED" to see this.

I run the copper colored model here on the new build and apparently there was a transparent model seeing the 92mm fan on that over the 110mm on others. The other noticable difference is that the copper is all copper while the other sees a mix of aluminum with copper on that one.

Obviously more copper better cooling material wise. You'll see that listed in the specifications as well. So you know which one most will go for when looking over the two seen at the links there. :P

The copper colored is the 100% copper while the darker transparent model seen at the first link is the combination of aluminum and copper seen there. The better cooling wise is the complete copper since copper is a far better heat conductor. Note that some of the copper models see a clear rainbow colored fan not the blue led like the one there on the second link.

That's the model being run here at the present time. As you will see in the specifications on that the heat sink material is copper not copper/aluminum like seen with the other model. With certain epoxy based thermal pastes/compounds like Liquid Pro you cartainly don't want anything with aluminum in it. The epoxy base acts like a corrosive.

The one at the link sees the blue led there. When browsing around through different vendors however you may run into the model seeing the multicolor fan there. That's basically a clear fan with a rainbow type of color pattern seen while the fan is going while the led model light right up once the power is on.
