Geforce 560 1gig vs the 560Ti 2gig and the 5701.2gig

Hello. I am buying my son's a new computer for Christmas and need some video card advice. To keep it simple I am looking for what the real performance differences are between say the Geforce 560 1gig 560Ti 2gig and the 570 1.2gig cards would be at running the newest games. I am only going to have one card and am not sure what is more important, the chipset or the ram amount on the card. I am trying to keep cost down to the bare minimum for a complete gaming system, because I am considering buying two systems. so that my boys can play each other online or double team.... What makes the 560Ti a better performer than the 570 and would I be better off going with the 1 or 2 gig version of the 360Ti..............?

Its not a better performer then the 570. What I mean is at its price point its hard to beat. The average price of a 560Ti is 240 bucks, the 570 on average is 340 bucks.
