About to install Ubuntu

Been a Windows user my whole life, and I want to get into Linux a bit so after reading I figured Ubuntu is the best bet. I was thinking Fedora but I heard many people ended up switching from Fedora to Ubuntu so I'm just going to start with that.

Here's the thing, I'm not really sure where to start after it's installed. Anybody have suggestions for a good place to start learning Linux once installed? I mean besides just playing around.

You don't have to install Ubuntu to try it. It will boot live from the disc.

Best way to learn is to play and tinker with your install or live cd as stated by BoDaggit23.
