AMD Dual Core Getting cheaper!!!

First off AMD X2 processors are getting cheaper everytime I go on newegg.com No so long ago I purchased da 5200+ for 219 and now is down to 175?? WTF! And also the 6000_ is at 239. wow prices are getting cheaper. I should of waited but didnt know it was going down that much. I just want to know why????? WHY????? is it so cheap now?

They can't beat Intel with raw performance so, they might have to try price. The C2D is beating AMD's stuff with price efficiency, AMD going to try to compete some way.

They also dropped their prices today, so they should be even lower on newegg in the next few days.

Intel is dropping the prices on the C2D soon...AMD wanted to be ahead of that. For what the X2's are going for I don't know if I can resist buying a 6000+.

You must remember that AMDs don't have as much overclocking headroom right now as Intel does.

though for business users might want an A64 x2 3600+ or 3800+ lowest power comsumption ever. and still gets things done
