animate the header of my website

hello,
I am trying to realize the header for my first website of management library with photoshop cs5 , then I want to do an animated image that contains text that appears, shines and disappears every second, just above the text of the image that appears one after the other in a rectange I will determine that one comes from the top down and disappears, and the other from right to left etc. .....

I think photoshop will not allow me to do all this
what do you advise me: learning flash, jquery .......

You could create an animated GIF. There are many internet sites/freeware programs that will put several pictures together. Then just use it as a image.

Otherwise you can create a slideshow of images, using dhtml/javascript. There are lots of scripts that can be used for free from various websites.

I used the animated GIF option for the intro page to my website: www.douglasrose.co.uk. It is what I would recommend.
