Another HD question

Im buying a new system soon that has a SATA HD and im wondering if my old IDE HD will act as slave or master? im planning to install windows on my SATA before putting my IDE in(wich also has windows installed, but i cant format it because it has alot of important files)

There is a setting in BIOS that will allow you to change the order in which devices are booted to. Easiest way (and least confusing for those who aren't 100% familiar with Installs) is to unplug the IDE and have only the SATA. Do the install and once you're finished, plug in the IDE, start the system and enter BIOS, then look around for the Boot Order Priority area and make sure your SATA drive is 1st.

Well since SATA drives only use one connecter per cable, Im pretty sure you can make the EIDE drive a master no matter what because it uses its own channel.
