OK so i've done what others say on this forum when this virus occurrs, i have "remove" the malware through a scan however when restarted i still had the same popups and everything. so now i've posted the mbam-log below and a hijack this log:

EDIT: Btw does it matter if i'm using a different admin user to do all this? Can't get on the one where the virus attacked me as its there popping up as soon as i go on but on this user it is fine

Hm.. If I remember correctly all I did was install my paid version of AVG which cleared everything right up. Try installing something like AVG Free, nod32 or antivir, if you can. I think johnb35 will be able to help you better than i can.

Please redownload and run HijackThis, as the version you are using is slightly outdated. Also, I think it should be run from the account with problems, but I am not sure. Same as what linkin said, johnb35 is the best at reading these logs, although I am working on it.

You should post the hijackthis log from the account that is infected. Have you tried booting to safe mode on the other account and scanning using malwarebytes?

Go ahead and download and run combofix in safe mode on the account that is infected.

Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.

In your next reply please post:
  • The ComboFix log
  • A fresh HiJackThis log
  • An update on how your computer is running
