Backup drive and software

I bougt a western digital pro hard drive to use as back up for my desktop, it comes with software installed is this the best backup software to use?

does the software do what it needs to?

saying one is the best is hard.... you can spend 1000s of dollars on a backup solution... but its hardly better for your purpose.

windows has a backup program builtin to it.

well the software provided with the drive must be optimized according to the drive in order to perform at its best , may be the software is not the best but you will be sure to get sure-shot help if anything goes wrong.
