Some people swear by a brand, others go strictly by reviews..etc
I have used OCZ, Crucial, and Kingston SSD's and found all to work well.
I currently use 3 OCZ Vertex3 120's in my PC in a RAID-0 setup and have enjoyed the speed and reliabilty.
I have a laptop with a Kingston, which has been good--but not really as fast as you'd expect going to a SSD from a HDD.
One thing people say is that OCZ is unreliable, albeit fast--but the Sandforce controllers were hit or miss--
I've also heard multiple people say, as well as reviews--that the Crucial M4 are fast, reliable, and all around a superior SSD.
The new OCZ Vertex4 using their Indinilinx Everest controller are getting good reviews and may be OCZ's response to the criticism of the Vertex3.
The prices overall now, are much cheaper than even a few months ago--and are a logical alternate to HDD's.
I'd recommend either Crucial or OCZ--base it on price and reviews and either way--the performance boost is a great reward.
..man, that was alot of typing..lol
