best video capture card?

Searching for a top quality capture card for PCI express slot. Don't want game or TV features, just pro quality analog and digital capture capability. Reccomendations appreciated.

Would something like this suit you? Or is it more than you were thinking? Aja makes excellent video capture equipment.

tried to checkout your recommendation but it thinks I wont allow cookies.I'm using Linux and it probably doesn't recognize the OS. how about listing a product name. TV and game cards add a lot of power consumption I don't need. most would require i also replace my power supply.I would rather keep it simple. High quality video editing without a lot of power draining features I won't use.

Head over to Markertek.com. Search for the AJA Kona LS or Xena LS series of capture cards. These are the lower end professional SD video capture cards. They are excellent cards in the under $1000 bracket.
