Just thought evryone should know these few things before they install the FREE Windows 10 upgrade. I'm not trying to discourage anyone only to inform:
1. The upgrade will kill your old Windows 7/8.1 license after 30 days. That means your license gets perm converted into a W10 after 30 days possibly with NO possibility to downgrade back to W7/8.1 after 30 days
2. All updates will be forced. W10 Pro users can postpone updates for 8 months, but not block them. Only W10 Enterprise users can choose which updates not to install. In the past, updates from MSFT have been known to break systems.
3. Forbes is speculating lifetime of a device to be 2-4 yrs for W10. That means the free upgrade could possibly be only supported freely for 2-4 yrs before you have to pay for updates.
