It would be awesome if anybody could give me a brief description/comparison between DVI and VGA. I'm currntly looking for a graphics card and I don't know which connector is better to have.

Not a concern really. The high end cards usually come with 2xDVI (god knows why ugh 
) and the medium cards come with 1xDVI and 1xDSUB15 and the low end cards usually with just DSUB15 (DSUB15==VGA). Regardless, the cards that come with DVI come with DSUB15<>DVI convertors (so you can use them with CRTs) and most LCD monitors come with DSUB15 capabilities as well.
