It would be awesome if anybody could give me a brief description/comparison between DVI and VGA. I'm currntly looking for a graphics card and I don't know which connector is better to have.

Not a concern really. The high end cards usually come with 2xDVI (god knows why ugh ;)) and the medium cards come with 1xDVI and 1xDSUB15 and the low end cards usually with just DSUB15 (DSUB15==VGA). Regardless, the cards that come with DVI come with DSUB15<>DVI convertors (so you can use them with CRTs) and most LCD monitors come with DSUB15 capabilities as well.

yeah most CRT monitors use VGA connectors

LCD monitors generally use DVI connectors



you can get a DVI to VGA converter if you wanting to do dual CRT monitors
