Can A BIOS Update Help Lower Studio XPS 13.3"s Heat Problem?

I am really wanting a Studio XPS 13.3" because it is a powerhouse that is so small and affordable! I know that there are problems with the machine such as random crashing, uneven surfaces, and how can I forget, a heat problem caused by the extremely smart design decision with the exhaust vent. But today I was building my new computer on Dell's website (for the 100th time) and came across this review by mbdurham on the laptops main page...

"...now that I have downloaded the bios update and no longer burn my legs.....Dell please make a 9 cell battery that extends out the back instead of the bottom that wouldmake it perfect."

I was like, my main issue with the computer has been now resolved by a simple BIOS update. Sweet. Can someone confirm or deny this reviewer statement.

I do not believe that a bios update would make the laptop run cooler. There is a chance that it would allow for better fan utilization but I don't know for sure.
